About Clean and Fresh

Meet Mathew and Will

Mathew Saunders and Will Snyder lead Clean and Fresh from Harvest, cleaning homes and businesses across the Huntsville area. Both studied aerospace engineering at UAH. Here’s how each of them came to the work.

Mathew Saunders

Founder & business partner

Mathew founded Clean and Fresh in 2014. He moved to Huntsville in 2016 to study aerospace engineering at UAH and brought the business with him.

Will Snyder

Business partner

Will spent his summers as a groundskeeper at a golf course and learned safe chemical handling while packaging at Snyder Industries. He has managed and renovated rental properties, studied aerospace engineering at UAH and now runs Clean and Fresh with Mathew.

How the partnership began

It started with a broken pressure washer

The first driveway took six hours.

Before Clean and Fresh, Mathew was the kid doing neighborhood jobs to save for a computer. At eleven, that meant mowing lawns and looking for the next way to earn the money himself.

A neighbor discarded a pressure washer, and Mathew repaired it with help from his dad. It was a 2.3 GPM, 1,700 PSI unit: modest equipment, but enough to take on a first driveway. The job took six hours. The payment went into savings for a more professional setup.

That process became Clean and Fresh in 2014: start with what you have, learn the work, reinvest in the right equipment, and keep improving the result.

Growing the business in Huntsville

An early condo job led to the first trailer.

In 2016, Mathew moved to Huntsville to pursue aerospace studies at UAH. The business came with him. An early project cleaning a condo building gave him the chance to buy the first trailer, then to keep reinvesting as more work came in.

Clean and Fresh grew alongside Mathew’s aerospace career. The field work and engineering work asked different things of him, but both reinforced the same habit: pay attention to the conditions, understand the details, and do not treat every property the same way.

Today, that approach is visible in the jobs we take on across Huntsville and North Alabama. You can see original work in the gallery, then use the service pages to find the right next step for your property.

Will Snyder brought a different but compatible path. He spent his summers as a groundskeeper at a golf course, and at Snyder Industries he worked in packaging, learning safe handling and the safety requirements for chemical packaging and manufacturing. He added aerospace studies at UAH, rental-property ownership, property management, renovations, and engineering work. He had spent years learning how materials, buildings, contractors, and property decisions fit together.

Will joined on a roof job that Mathew needed a helper to reach safely. While they waited, Mathew asked Will to rinse one side. Will got hyper-focused on one small area and wouldn’t move on until it was clean.

That was when Mathew realized Will would take care of a property as if his own name were on the business, not just collect a paycheck. It’s the standard they still hold each other to: use good judgment, communicate clearly, and take responsibility for the details.

Two perspectives, one standard of work

The business no longer comes from one repaired washer, but the operating standard is still the same: slow down long enough to understand the property before deciding how to clean it.

Mathew and Will lead Clean and Fresh with different experiences behind them and a shared focus on durable customer relationships. That means staying within the work we do well, being direct about cleaning limits, and helping customers find a local professional when a repair or specialty trade is the better answer.

  • Read the surface first. Material, buildup, access, and nearby finishes change the right approach.
  • Match the method to the job. Pressure, cleaning agents, and technique are chosen for the condition in front of us.
  • Be clear about the boundary. Cleaning can improve a surface; it does not replace repair, replacement, or refinishing.
  • Keep the next step practical. When work is outside our scope, we help point customers toward a local specialist.
